The stakes are high for Olympiacos in the Champions League tonight, as they take on Group D leaders Barcelona.

The Reds only have a slim hope of qualifying past the group stage this year, having played three games and picked up no points.

Even if they were to beat Barcelona tonight in Athens, it will all be over if Juventus avoid defeat away at Sporting Lisbon.

The Greek champions have only managed four wins in their last 12 competitive matches and were recently beaten by bitter league rivals, Panathinaikos.

Barcelona won’t have it all their own way though, the five-time European champions will be without Gerard Pique through match ban.

They will also have to make do without Ousmane Dembele, Andres Iniesta, Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan.

Barca manager, Ernesto Valverde, who managed Olympiakos twice between 2008 and 2012, had this to say on the clash: “It's emotional to come here to Athens, to this stadium, for what it has meant to me and for what is at stake," said Valverde, 53.

"Even though they (Olympiacos fans) will give me a good reception, I'm sure they will be right behind their team."
