Luke Shaw has been cast aside by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho
Luke Shaw has become a much-maligned figure since joining Manchester United from Southampton in 2014.
The 22-year-old defender has failed to kick on since moving to Old Trafford and came under fire from Jose Mourinho last season.
And it seems the Portuguese is not alone in his criticism of Shaw, with former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino revealing he too has his reservations.
“I felt his head was not in the right place to make the sacrifices and decisions that are necessary at that age,” Pochettino said.

The revelation comes in a new book, Brave New World: Inside Pochettino's Spurs, written by Sky Sports La Liga insider Guillem Balague.
Shaw has continued to be frozen out at United by Mourinho this term and has made just two Carabao Cup performances.
He has not been named in a match-day squad in the Premier League at all this season, with the Portuguese giving the nod to Daley Blind and Ashley Young.
And Mourinho suggested earlier this month opportunities would be few and far between for Shaw due to his ongoing injury problems.

“He has a future here but the situation is not easy because he comes from injury after injury after injury,” the United boss said.
"He needs two, three, four, five or six matches in a row to play, to make mistakes, to get condition, to get match fitness and I cannot give him that.
“If he was a central midfielder then yes, because we only have two but at left back we have so many options. So the situation is not easy.
"But he is in the squad, he works and maybe the opportunity comes.”
