EastEnders spoilers: Tina Carter clown attack horror takes devastating turn

.

The character (played by Luisa Bradshaw-White) had only just had a heart-warming moment with her nephew Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) when she was thrust into a terrifying scene as part of the BBC soap's special Halloween week.

Having been sent to buy some last-minute alcohol from the local cash and carry, Tina was pushing a laden-down trolley back towards the Queen Vic when she was suddenly cornered by two sinister, mask-wearing muggers.

One of the fancy dress-clad thugs sprung a knife on the terrified Walford mum, as the sinister figures could be heard saying: "Trick or treat?"

While viewers were left to ponder what comes next as Tina's horrified expression lingered on the screen, it's only the beginning of the trauma for Albert Square.

While upcoming scenes show Tina thwarting the attempted robbery and escaping the area, the emotional fall-out of the incident leads her to make a near-fatal mistake.

Rushing to drive her car back to the party and her family, Tina accidentally runs over Honey Mitchell's (Emma Barton) daughter Janet.

Shaken and assuming she's merely hit Dave the cat, she continues on and confides to sister Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) about her ordeal.

Shirley decides to call the police about the robbery, and it's not long before Tina realises what she's done.
