Tonight's dramatic instalment of the ITV soap will see Nicola (played by Nicola Thorp) visit her late mother's friend Lydia Hartman (Susan Twist) and talk turning to her parents.
The Coronation Street favourite goes on to show Lydia a picture of her with her villainous father Pat (Connor McIntyre), explaining that he is her real dad and that her mother had an affair with him.
Lydia's horrified reaction appears to hint at further information yet to be revealed, as she recoils from the photo, insisting: "It's just a shock, that's all."
