Bosses decided to leave the door open for the beloved character to return, but in a sudden twist of fate, The Sun have speculated that Sinead Tinker (played by Katie McGlynn) will break the bad news to Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
In upcoming scenes, Chesney will be recovering from an infection in hospital when Sinead arrives, leading him to discharge himself after the shock.
A TV source said: “As Katy, Georgia was really popular with Corrie fans and had some big storylines.
