Chelsea news: N’Golo Kante ruled out for rest of the MONTH, he’ll miss Roma double header

Kante, 26, picked up the knock in France’s World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria last Saturday and was taken off after just 34 minutes when he clutched his hamstring.

France coach Didier Deschamps confirmed the injury after the game and a scan revealed he had suffered a tear in his left thigh.

Kante has since returned to Chelsea’s training base in Cobham to undergo treatment for the problem which forced him out of international duty.

But The Sun have claimed Conte’s worst fears have come true with the midfielder being ruled out for the rest of the month.

Chelsea star N'Golo Kante has been ruled out for the rest of the month with a hamstring injury

It is said initial treatment has revealed it could take some time to nurse him back to fitness.

As a result, he will miss this weekend’s clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park (3pm).

He is also expected to be ruled out of Chelsea’s Champions League double header against Roma this month.

And he is also likely to miss Premier League games against Watford, Bournemouth and Everton.

But providing all goes well, he could return in time for their crucial clash against Manchester United on November 5 (4:30pm).

Kante’s injury represents a double blow for Conte with Alvaro Morata already sidelined after he suffered a grade two hamstring injury in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City.

He did join up with the Spain squad for their World Cup qualifiers, but was sent home without kicking a ball.
