Roma vs Chelsea: Craig Burley doubts Blues can win Champions League clash
Victory for Chelsea in Rome will send them through to the last 16 of the Champions League after just four matches.
However, they were held by their Serie A opponents 3-3 at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago, after throwing away a two-goal lead.
Burley believes Atletico Madrid, who have just two points from their first three games, will be supporting Chelsea this evening.
But he says Antonio Conte’s side must perform like they did against Atletico, where they picked up a 2-1 win in Madrid in September, to have any chance this evening.
“The honest answer is I don’t know,” Burley said on ESPN FC when asked if the Blues can win.

Atletico Madrid need Chelsea to do them a big favour and go to Roma and win
Craig Burley on Roma vs Chelsea
“It has been such an up and down Champions League group, even Atletico Madrid drawing with Qarabag in the last game when they had a great opportunity, because Chelsea and Roma were playing at the Bridge.
“That was a great game for the neutral, and for Roma, six goals.
“But I think Chelsea have been unlike themselves from last year.
“They’ve had a change in personnel, they’ve had injuries in key areas, like N’Golo Kante.
Roma vs Chelsea: The Blues will qualify out of their Champions League group if they win tonight
“They did sell (Nemanja) Matic to Manchester United so there is not a direct replacement, (Tiemoue) Bakayoko is a bit new in there. So it’s been a stop-start season from that respect.
“That being said, if they play the way they did in Madrid against Atletico, yes they can win it.
“Atletico Madrid need Chelsea to do them a big favour and go to Roma and win.
“But I’m honestly 50/50 as to whether that can happen or not, the way Roma played at Stamford Bridge.”
N'Golo Kante has not returned to the squad despite recovering from a hamstring injury.
