Later in the day, some showers will develop in northern England and Northern Ireland but the south of the UK will see some sunshine with highs of 14 degrees celsius.

Carol told those who will be out and about trick or treating that it will be mild, although the rain will remain in the north of Scotland.

It will be a wet start to the day tomorrow as rain will still be persistent in Northern Ireland, parts of Scotland and further south it will feel very chilly.

Despite the recent drop in temperatures, the presenter said: “These temperatures are pretty good really for this time of year, round about average.”
