Lemar deal back on
10.55: Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
The Gunners made a £92million bid for Lemar towards the end of the summer transfer window, but the deal collapsed at the last hour.
Now Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev says there is a “fair chance” the Frenchman will move to the Emirates Stadium.
He said: ”Definitely next summer will be something to look at, although you know in football there are no guarantees.
“We had some players who were supposed to leave this summer but didn't leave because of X, Y, Z.
“I think it would be fair to say Thomas will have a fair chance to an exit next year.
"January, in football, never say never, but this is not what we're thinking of, this is really not in our plans.
"Then we have to wait and see, how the team does, in different competitions, if we have an interest in him, and also his ambitions after the World Cup.
“January doesn't seem like the right time for major changes in the team."

Guardiola's grand plan for Sanchez
09.14: With Alexis Sanchez potentially on his way to the Etihad in January, Manchester City fans will be getting excited about another attacking talent joining their star-studded squad.
However, Pep Guardiola will have his work cut out trying to cram all his forwards onto the pitch at the same time.
We've had a go at predicting how the Citizens' starting XI could look with the Chilean ace – Jealous Arsenal fans should look away now.
Manchester City want Sanchez on the cheap
08.41: Manchester City will table an offer for Alexis Sanchez in January – but they want him for a cut-price of £20million, according to the Mirror.
Arsenal knocked back a £60million bid from the Blues in the summer in hope that Sanchez would sign a contract extension at the Emirates.
However, negotiations have stalled and the Chileans future is up in the air.
Despite the uncertainty, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger insists he would not shy away from picking Sanchez in his squad.
“I have no doubt that he wants to perform,” he said.
“He never goes on the football pitch to lose a football game, never. Sanchez is a winner type.
“You have always to set targets when you’re a football player. When one is gone, you focus on something else.”

Sanchez heading for the exit
08.21: Reports this morning suggest that Alexis Sanchez will be following Mesut Ozil out of the Emirates Stadium in January.
Both players’ contracts are up at the end of the season and Arsenal may be forced to cash in on January, or risk the pair walking for free in the summer.
Wenger said he has “envisaged every kind of solution.”
And asked if that could mean they could leave in January and said: “Yes, it’s possible.”
However, he does remain optimistic that the pair will put pen to paper and stay on with the Gunners.
He added: “I always said that the fact that we didn’t find an agreement last year doesn’t mean the player will necessarily leave.
“Both players look happy here and overall I hope that the situation can be turned around. At the moment, we are not close enough to announce anything.”
